5 Takeaways From My Experience At Beaches Negril

Before my recent stay at Beaches Negril Resort this past June, I had gone their a few times on day pass with my son, but this was my first time actually spending a full week at the Resort. My main reason for choosing Beaches Negril was due to the fact that this vacation was mostly for my son, and from what I saw during the couple day trips I had done, a week with the family at Beaches would be absolutely perfect. With that said, here are the top 5 things I took away during my stay at Beaches Negril.

Perfect For The Kids

I chose Beaches mainly because of my Son, and I was right in making that choice. Beaches Negril is the ideal resort for kids. From Newborns to older children, you will struggle to find a resort that fulfils the needs of both child and parents the way this resort does. My son would spend hours at the splash pad daily, from playing in the water to riding on the lazy river on a tube with daddy or me. There was always other Kids on the beach for him to play with, and when we both needed a break, us from him, and him from the sun, there was no better place than the Kids Club. The fact that all the staff that worked at the Kids Club were all certified early-childhood educators, made me very confident leaving my two-year-old knowing he would be in great hands. There were separate playrooms, categorized by age, and every single room was absolutely spotless. The resort had cameras EVERYWHERE, so your child is always watched. The Sesame Street characters were awesome for the Kids, and so were the nightly shows they hosted.

If you are looking for the perfect Family Resort, you probably will not be disappointed by choosing Beaches, Negril

Wouldn’t Recommend If You Are Travelling Without Children



Beaches was perfect for my son, and he had the time of his life and enjoyed our time there with him thoroughly. However, my husband and I would most certainly never book a vacation at Beaches if we do not have our son with us. The resort has everything for the kids, but not that much for adults. Aside from getting a few hours each day to relax on the beach together while our son was at the Kids Club, or getting a couples massage, there was not much else for us to do. There was no nightlife after the Sesame Street Kids Show, and we were pretty much in bed by 8:00 pm every single night. Not that we had the energy to stay up anyways, as most days we were exhausted from chasing our son around on the beach and participating in all the other activities.

There are adults that vacation at Beaches without their children, I am just saying I would not do it, nor would I recommend to anyone looking for a couple’s or single adult vacation experience.

The Staff Were Incredible

The staff was amazing. Love all the ladies at the Kids Club. They were patient and attentive to my son and us as parents, and they showed genuine affection for the kids. The dining room staff, the front-desk and every single staff member at the resort that I had contact with, were absolutely amazing. They were always willing to go over and above to satisfy our needs, and everyone was generally very friendly. Top-notch hospitality and excellent service is all I have to say about the staff at Beaches Negril.

If It’s Not Included, It’s Expensive



Beaches Negril is an all-inclusive resort. This means all your meals, from dining at the main buffet to ordering room service, is included in the price you pay. Use of the resorts amenities including the Kids Club and non-motorized watersport activities are all part of the all-inclusive package. However, for some of the things that are “NOT-INCLUDED”, I found them to be a bit overpriced. Loved the guys walking around taking pictures all day capturing very special moments with you and your family, but paying $15 per image for those images I find to be a bit much. The Spa Menu was very expensive as was expected, and my husband paid $70 for a dozen roses, and it will cost you an extra $200 per day to rent one of those lovely Cabanas on the beach. If you can afford the luxury then it’s not a big deal, but for those that are on a budget

Overall A Great Experience



Overall, I really enjoyed my time at Beaches Negril. My son had the time of his life. The food was great, from the main buffet to the speciality restaurants. The room was perfect, and the overall amenities at Beaches Negril were excellent. The price you will pay to stay at Beaches
